Story Hour Idea

Wiggle Worms Story Hours
stories - movement - nature


At these unique and fun story hours, children play and learn through stories and movement.


From the Wiggly Warm-Up to the Story Theater to the Critter Cool-Down, children are moving their bodies while learning poetry, Spanish, healthy eating habits, peace and character education, and nature education.

Fall 2010/Spring 2011 Stories
September - November - Bina the Ant - an Aesop's tale about not judging a book by it's cover.
December -February - The Magic Pear Tree - a story from china about non-greed and giving.
March - May - The Treasure in the Earth - a story from Greece about respecting the earth.

Programs are appropriate for pre-school story times and K-5 classrooms.

Scottie is a former middle school teacher and public librarian, a mom to tow young children, a certified Storytime Yoga teacher, and an outdoor enthusiasti! She has been telling stories and getting kids to move their bodies since 2007.
