The Friends of the Hill City Library will hold their first Reader's and Writers' Conference this Saturday, October 23. Registration opens at 8:30 am. The cost is $35 for the day's workshops. Author Kent Meyers of Work of Wolves and Twisted Tree will be the keynote speaker. Dan Siebersma, South Dakota State Librarian, will speak about libraries. And there will be a One Book South Dakota book discussion on this years' selection What is the What that is free and open to the public.
